The initiative is part of the Comprehensive Provincial Literacy Plan "Chubut Aprende 2024-2027" and aims to ensure the development of key skills, update curriculum content, and support academic progress throughout the province.

Governor Ignacio "Nacho" Torres' administration, through the Ministry of Education, launched the provincial program "More Opportunities, Chubut Learns. Secondary Education," a comprehensive proposal aimed at transforming and strengthening secondary education throughout the province.

This initiative is part of the Comprehensive Provincial Literacy Plan "Chubut Aprende 2024-2027," which proposes a substantial improvement in pedagogical practices, literacy in all areas of knowledge, and a curricular update in line with the needs of the current context.

A comprehensive approach to improving educational quality
The program is structured around five key pillars. The first promotes literacy as a cross-cutting policy, through guiding documents that address reading, writing, and oral skills across all subjects. The goal is to enhance teaching practices so that students achieve comprehensive development of these essential skills.

Secondly, the program aims to strengthen classroom practices through a Comprehensive Training Plan that integrates with various institutional frameworks. In partnership with organizations such as Somos Red and Enseñá por Argentina, a situated training program will be implemented, reaching more than 1,000 teachers and administrators from 168 secondary schools. The training areas include pedagogical leadership, mathematics, project-based learning (PBL), life planning, and digital skills.

Curriculum update and support for career paths
The third axis focuses on adapting and updating curricular content. This includes training in educational technology for the Basic Cycle, reviewing the contents of Technology Education in accordance with ME Resolution No. 154/25, and developing new Curriculum Designs that respond to local and regional demands.

Fourth, specific actions are being promoted to strengthen the early years of the Basic Cycle, with strategies focused on the transition between primary and secondary education. The "Open Doors" Plan, for example, prioritizes language and mathematics alongside skills such as teamwork and communication. Furthermore, the Supporting Documents provide flexible proposals for entering the first year and the reorganization of curricular spaces. Personalized support for academic careers through specific projects is also provided.

Finally, the program includes meetings, exchanges, and ongoing training, with educational workshops and regional meetings that foster collaborative work and the exchange of experiences among teachers, management teams, and school technical supervisors.

With this ambitious program, Governor Ignacio "Nacho" Torres' administration, through the Chubut Ministry of Education, reaffirms its commitment to inclusive, quality, and equitable secondary education for all students in the province.
