Announcing the results, Thursday in Minna, Register of the Council,

Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, attributed the drop in performance of the candidates to use of more accurate scoring facilities by the council.

He explained that the insecurity in parts of the country, which had adversely affected education, also contributed to the decline in performance of students in the examination.

He said, “when compared with 2021 SSCE (internal) figures of 878,925 (71.64%), there is a decrease of 10.9% as shown in table 7.”

The Registrar said that 1,011,457 candidates, representing 84.40% however scored five credits irrespective of English and Mathematics.
