Ðãɫֱ²¥, in partnership with our sister organizations—the , the , the , and the —is urging our members to participate in two crucial feedback and learning opportunities.

Both are designed to ensure that your institutional voices are heard as the U.S. Department of Education implements significant changes to compliance reporting requirements.

    • AIR is gathering feedback from institutions on the upcoming Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System changes. The AIR IPEDS survey focuses on the new data collection component, the Admissions and Consumer Transparency Supplement, beginning in the 2025-2026 collection cycle. This proposed ACTS supplement would mandate the reporting of detailed data on both undergraduate and graduate student admissions, raising important considerations regarding institutional burden, data quality, and implementation feasibility.

    • AIR will host a refresher webinar on Financial Value Transparency and Gainful Employment reporting requirements. These FVT/GE regulations are moving into the first full reporting cycle, and many institutions are preparing systems and processes to comply.

Why This Matters

The Department of Education is pursuing significant accountability and transparency initiatives through FVT/GE reporting and other IPEDS changes. The efforts have broader implications for institutions, requiring coordinated compliance and accurate reporting. These new reporting requirements will impact our Ðãɫֱ²¥ members, and you will need to plan accordingly to build them into your workflow.

Ðãɫֱ²¥ is working closely with AIR, ACE, APLU, and NAICU to actively collect input to help shape our advocacy and implementation guidance. Your insights will help inform the associations’ collective response to the proposed changes and ensure that the perspectives of professionals responsible for institutional reporting are fully represented in ongoing policy discussions.
