Kristina Rosales

Registrar – CUNY Guttman Community College

2025 Ðãɫֱ²¥ Elections Candidate - 2026-2027 N&E Committee Member

Position Statement:

I am running for the Nominations and Elections Committee because I believe in the power of intentional, inclusive leadership to move our profession forward. Ðãɫֱ²¥ plays a critical role in shaping national conversations around access, enrollment, policy, and innovation in higher education. I want to contribute to that impact by helping identify and support leaders who reflect the diversity, expertise, and values of our membership.

Throughout my career in registrar and enrollment management roles across the City University of New York and New York University, I have been deeply engaged in advancing equity, improving systems, and empowering people. In my current role as Deputy Registrar at Brooklyn College (CUNY), I lead strategic operations across registration, curriculum, student records, and degree audit, and I manage systems like PeopleSoft, Coursedog, and EAB Navigate to improve student experience and operational efficiency. I also oversee academic calendar development, facilitate end-of-term processing, lead cross-functional communication efforts, and support staff development and strategic planning aligned with Ðãɫֱ²¥ core competencies.

My professional path has been shaped by a commitment to service and leadership development. I served as an ASCEND Scholar, presented at the 2025 Ðãɫֱ²¥ Annual Meeting, and I am a member of the Prison Education Program Working Group, a joint initiative with NASFAA that supports equitable access to postsecondary education for incarcerated learners. These experiences have shown me the importance of inclusive leadership, not just in word, but in practice, and how vital it is to ensure that our Association continues to evolve with the profession.

If elected, my goals for the Nominations and Elections Committee would include:

Broadening the leadership pipeline by proactively identifying and encouraging nominations from professionals across institutional types, functional areas, and geographic regions.
Supporting transparency and trust in the nominations process by engaging members and communicating clearly about criteria, timelines, and outcomes.
Centering equity and inclusion in all aspects of the committee's work from outreach to selection to ensure our Board reflects the full spectrum of Ðãɫֱ²¥'s membership.
Encouraging new and emerging leaders to consider service by offering guidance and insight into the nomination process, particularly for those who may not see themselves represented in traditional leadership spaces.
With over a decade of experience in enrollment services, curriculum, compliance, and system transformation, I understand what strong, ethical, and forward-thinking leadership looks like. I also understand how essential it is to bring new voices to the table, especially those who are often underrepresented or under-recognized despite their impact on campus and in our profession.

Serving on the Nominations and Elections Committee would allow me to give back to the organization that has shaped my professional growth, while playing a role in shaping its future. It would be an honor to serve Ðãɫֱ²¥ and its members in this capacity
