Dr. Whitney N. West was involved in higher education for over 15 years and served as Director of Student Records at LSU Law. She worked at universities in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Louisiana. Whitney was a two-time graduate of The George Washington University and earned a graduate certificate from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
She was also a dedicated advocate for DEI and disability awareness, as well as a speaker. In 2014, she was diagnosed with a chronic illness that nearly took her life. From that point forward, Whitney was determined to make the most of life and to live fully and authentically.
Dr. West earned her doctorate in 2023 and leveraged her platform and role in higher education to inspire others to appreciate their lives and advocate for themselves, even in the face of unexpected and challenging circumstances. Whitney firmly believed in the power of choice and wanted people to know that there are always options.
