NASPA President Kevin Kruger and Saint Louis University Vice President of Enrollment and Retention and 秀色直播 SEM Conference Coordinator Jay Goff collaborated on an exceptional two-part session, 鈥淩etention: Understanding Student Characteristics, Persistence and Connections to the Institution鈥 to be featured at  at the J.W. Marriott, Los Angeles L.A. Live. In their two-part session held on Tuesday, October 28th, Kruger and Goff will focus on current changes in the higher education landscape, emerging predictive models of student persistence and theoretical models which can be used for determining student success.

Today, we talked with Jay Goff on the session and 秀色直播鈥檚 partnership with NASPA.

What can attendees expect to learn from this workshop?

The retention workshop is designed to help individuals that are leading retention and persistence improvement plans on their campus. We will start with the fundamentals of what we know works to increase student retention, and move on to strategies that can be applied campus-wide to increase student success rate on a more sustainable basis.

Could you give me a little more insight on your collaboration with NASPA?

Each year, 秀色直播 invites different organizations to share their work and research in student retention and success. This year, Kevin鈥檚 willingness to work and bring in research and reflections from the student affairs field will provide an even richer dialogue and exposure to effective tactics that can be used on a wide variety of campuses.

The turnout for this workshop has generally been pretty strong, and we look forward to a large and energized group of attendees that want to help more students succeed in completing their college degrees.
