In late February 2015, (IES) received a request for evaluation of academic documents for the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Maiduguri in northeastern Nigeria.

Ðãɫֱ²¥ IES requested the applicant to have official transcripts sent directly from the university to Ðãɫֱ²¥. The applicant pointed out that the city of Maiduguri was experiencing constant upheaval, turmoil and threats by Boko Haram. Because of this, the university had closed temporarily. Ðãɫֱ²¥ confirmed this via news reports from multiple sources.

Due to this, Ðãɫֱ²¥ issued the evaluation report with this disclaimer:

"Please note that this evaluation was prepared using a photocopy of the applicant’s diploma and transcript. Due to political unrest in Nigeria, the University of Maiduguri was temporarily closed. Although it very recently re-opened, it is unclear whether original transcripts are currently available."

Update: On April 2, 2015, Ðãɫֱ²¥ received an official transcript delivered directly from the University of Maiduguri. The cover letter was signed by the Deputy Registrar (Exams and Records).
