Ðãɫֱ²¥ is at the forefront of issues supporting gender identity recognition, and in many cases leads the charge to push for more inclusive institutional policies.
Ðãɫֱ²¥ members are working diligently to update their practices to recognize students' gender identity, using preferred names and pronouns to ensure transgender students’ privacy in a supportive and nondiscriminatory school environment.
In order to develop guidance for institutions on serving transgender students and students who wish to update their gender marker, Ðãɫֱ²¥ recently created the "Student Identity Working Group," which is comprised of Registrar and Admission Officers from fourteen higher education institutions.
